Patzicia is a municipality in the department of Chimaltenango, Guatemala. It is home to about 23,000 people and is surrounded by farmland owned by the families who live off of what they can grow. The rest of their produce they sell at the market. It is common to see Mayan women dressed in their traditional huipil and Cortes and speaking some Spanish, but the main language in Patzicia is Kaquikel.
